2024 AILA SA + NT Urban Design Award.
The Paxton’s Walk Revitalisation project breathes new life into a well‑used East End pedestrian link, transforming it from a tired and constrained passageway into a vibrant, welcoming, green and accessible public space. As a key connector between Adelaide’s East End Precinct and the Lot Fourteen innovation district, the upgraded walkway now supports higher levels of activity and improves the overall pedestrian experience.
The works include significant stormwater infrastructure upgrades and a comprehensive streetscape renewal featuring new lighting, expanded greening, and upgraded pavements. Together, these improvements create a safer, more comfortable and more attractive link that encourages people to move through — and spend time within this important urban corridor.
