SOLIS was created for the Corporate Connect Centre in Mascot, a hub designed for business travellers flying in from major Australian cities. The space blends Scandinavian influences with warm timber, soft lighting, and handcrafted leather furniture, offering a calm and welcoming environment for meetings, networking, and rest.

The brief called for a light artwork that would enhance the arrival experience with a sense of surprise and discovery. SOLIS responds to this by introducing a sculptural light form made from perforated aluminium, illuminated by a controlled LED system. The perforations scatter light across the surrounding surfaces, creating shifting patterns that echo sunlight filtering through architectural screens. The work adds a subtle moment of immersion and contemplation within a highly functional corporate setting, enriching the visitor’s transition into the space.
