'The Cloudscape lighting installation was switched on in Bible Lane last night as the first part of the city centre’s role as a precinct partner to the Enlighten Festival. In its first year as a precinct partner the City Renewal Authority has curated a program of art installations and events to complement the Parliamentary Zone’s traditional Enlighten attractions. Cloudscape, by Sydney art studio McDermott Baxter, consists of three cloud-shaped light installations – Cumulus, Nimbus and Discobolus – will be suspended in Bible Lane, off Bunda Street, for the duration of the Enlighten Festival.' Cloudscape was part of Canberra's ACT CIVIC Laneway activation, to transforms Bible Lane with a trio of suspended, cloud‑shaped light installations: Cumulus, Nimbus, and Discobolus. Hovering above the laneway for the duration of the Enlighten Light Festival, these illuminated forms bring a sense of whimsy and atmospheric calm to the urban setting. The installation is engineered for public pedestrian areas, using load‑rated suspension fixings appropriate for temporary outdoor activation.
