Nimbus features an array of 50 individually addressable LEDs embedded into the structure. The designers see the Nimbus as offering an alternative to a conventional chandelier style fitting in situations where a dramatic light is required with a low ceiling. Each fixture is a lightweight interlocking construction that can be disassembled and flat packed for transport. The form is crafted from anodised perforated aluminium, assembled by hand to create a luminous cloud like geometry.
